I love running DiskInventoryX. I thought 460 GB of files seemed like a lot until I checked “show free space.” Check out that massive gray void.
Most of the top left is a backup of my old laptop that I still haven’t sorted through. Both giant blue blocks are my iTunes libraries. Neat!


For those at home not using Mac OS, there’s a similar app for Windows called SequoiaView. Meanwhile, Linux has this built in to Konqueror (directory size view), or, alternatively, Baobab.
